So how does it work?
It’s not just money you’ll save when you buy, finance or lease a vehicle using your BASC member discount, but time, too – we will streamline the research and comparison process for you, making sure you can find your next new vehicle with the minimum of hassle. The process is pretty straightforward – here’s how it works:
Let us know your budget, timing, and vehicle requirements (and your BASC membership number, too), and we can give you the best possible service, whether you know exactly what you want or just want to make the biggest savings possible. Your personal consultant will also offer you useful information on the new engine types available, so you can decide whether one of the more recent alternative fuel options (battery electric, plug-in hybrid, or standard hybrid), might be a good choice – or whether petrol or diesel still would be the best value.
Even if you know what you want, you’ll still need to pin down the specification of your new car, van or truck – depending on your required timescale, your consultant could look for a pre-registered vehicle or help you narrow down the options so you can make a factory order.
A range of great-value finance options is open to you – subject to status – whether you need a vehicle for personal or business use. Your consultant will be able to tell you how the different options work and how the monthly payments are affected by different lengths of contract, mileages and deposit amounts, so you can make an informed decision.
Your personal illustrations of vehicle specification and cost will then be sent to you. When you’ve given it sufficient thought, and made a decision, you’ll receive a detailed order form and initial disclosure terms and conditions for you to sign and return to us.
When we have received your documents, we will place your order with one of our nominated dealer groups.
Once the vehicle has been ordered, you’ll receive an anticipated delivery date, then regular progress updates while your vehicle is on order.
As your delivery date gets closer, our customer services team will be in touch more frequently, to help with the details regarding insurance and payments.
You can choose where you’d like your vehicle to be delivered – and a key-to-key handover service is available if you’ve agreed a part-exchange deal, for maximum ease of switching vehicles. Most vehicles from our nominated dealers will be driven deliveries, however it is possible to arrange transportation if you prefer (additional charge may apply).
