Audi Q5 Estate 50 TFSIe S-Line S-Tronic

We have just had an exciting addition to the TYSONCOOPER fleet recently. It looks like a normal Q5 from the outside. However, this is one of the new Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles that Audi are masters of. The Audi, being a plug-in hybrid, may well be the next step in your electric journey.

The vehicle has electric motors and a battery, used in conjunction with a combustion engine for maximum range and reassurance. When you press the start stop button, there is no noise or vibration from the engine as you glide away in full electric mode. This will be ideal for your commute or drive to your favourite local restaurant with no tail pipe emissions; the only guilt you have is that extra dessert.

Unlike the traditionally-fuelled Audi Q5, the TFSIe plug-in hybrid (PHEV), which also has even more power. Combined, it's petrol engine and electric motor make 296BHP, and it'll do up to 38 miles on electric power alone. It's heavier than the other models, thanks to it's electrical gubbins, but its performance is as good as the 45 TFSI.

For that longer drive, you have the option of the internal combustion engine; so no need to worry about charging on route.

When it comes to CO2 emissions, the two plug-in hybrid models are the only real choice for company car drivers: the 50 TFSIe (emits 36g/km) and the 55 TFSIe (41g/km), with electric-only ranges of 38 miles, respectively.

Audi has a steller reputation for interior quality, and the Q5 does nothing to change that; the material and build quality is as bulletproof as anything else on the market.

Whichever version you choose, you'll enjoy Audi's sophisticated 50 TFSIe Quattro S-Tronic powertrain. It develops 299PS, 450Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds.
